Mariah Carey received some backlash on Sunday night after her performance of “Beautiful” at the BET Awards, as Twitter users claimed she was lip-syncing.
After she took the stage, Twitter lit up with accusations that the veteran singer and former American Idol judge, who was also accused of lip-syncing on the finale, faked it.

Some reactions have been:

However, ahead of the show, Carey’s husband Nick Cannon praised his wife to E! News, saying what you see is what you get.

"My wife is a perfectionist and clearly because she's done it right all her life. So she actually puts a lot of work into these performances," he said. "There's no management helping make decisions. Everything you see is all her, whether it's a collaboration when the lights hit, how she enters, she's doing all of that."

After her lip-syncing controversy in May, her reps said “She ABSOLUTELY DID NOT lip-sync. She performed LIVE in front of several thousands of people!!!! (and did it 3 times!!).”

No word from her camp about the newest round of rumors.
