On May 6th, popstar Mariah Carey dropped her chart-climbing single “#Beautiful” off her new album titled The Art of Letting Go.
The album is Carey’s fourteenth album, which currently has no release date. The single, a hauntingly gorgeous song, only made it to the 24 spot on Billboard Hot 100 during its debut week. Recently, however, Carey had started to film the music video for the single, which ultimately led to her hospitalization.
The shooting for the video took place Sunday, July 7th, at Avenue and Artichoke Pizza in Chelsea according to . It has been assumed that the start tripped in her heels and injured her shoulder.
Previous to the accident, Yahoo reported that Carey had spent the fourth of July in New York City with Macy’s. The star even tweeted a picture of herself in a patriotic bikini smiling broadly on a boat.
As for Carey’s scheduled free performance at Central Park, sources report that Carey is still determined to perform, sling or no sling.
