Michael Moore, the controversial documentary filmmaker and author, has reportedly filed for divorce from Kathleen Glynn, his wife of 21 years.

According to MLive.com, Moore filed for divorce on Wednesday near his hometown of Flint, Michigan in a Antrim County Circuit Court complaint. The complaint said that they do not live together anymore and that there is “no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.”

Moore is being represented by Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn, a leading law firm in Michigan. Both Moore and Glynn, who has not responded to the filing, are Flint natives and have home on Torch Lake. CelebrityNetWorth.com estimates that Moore has a net worth of $50 million.

The Huffington Post notes that Glynn is a producer, working on Moore’s Bowling for Columbine and Farenheit 9/11. They also wrote Adventures in TV Nation together.

Moore made his directorial debut with 1989’s Roger & Me. He won an Oscar for Farenheit 9/11 and his most recent work is 2009’s Capitalism: A Love Story. He has not said anything about the divorce on Twitter and did not provide MLive.com with a statement.
