This week’s episode of Necessary Roughness, titled “V3 for Vendetta,” starts out on a high note. Dani feels like her life is really coming together. Her job is working out well, her “two night stand” with Sam went well, and she’s happy.
Life for Terrence is a little crazy - he and Sheera are fighting and Connor still wants them to join forces to make Brickhouse Lingerie work as Hollywood’s new power couple. Terrence relents and together they go by “She-K.”
The excitement and good fortune are suddenly cut short when, during a meeting about the upcoming V3 charity event with Carl Weber, the VP of V3’s accounting branch, the FBI raid V3 headquarters for reasons unknown.
The FBI raid holds Terrence up and he misses practice - a practice Coach Wizinski isn’t going to let fly.
After the raid, Connor encourages the V3 employees that V3 has done nothing wrong and there is no real reason for the raid, and that they will all get to the bottom of this.
After the raid, Dani’s nervous about the mental state of the V3 environment, and Connor has absolutely no idea why his company would be raided in the first place. He and Troy scramble to gather information and prevent any spin that would detract from their upcoming charity event.
Despite the raid, Coach Wizinski demands $5,000 from Terrence in return for missing practice. Coach also reminds Terrence that there is a 10pm curfew at the hotel the night before the upcoming game, and if Terrence misses that curfew he’s off the team.
Meanwhile, Nico chews out the federal agent he’s been reporting to for raiding the V3 building without notifying him ahead of time. Nico gives him four weeks to cut him loose from being their informant inside the company, then he’s leaving for Dallas for good.
After watching the breaking news about the raid on television, Connor and Troy agree that if the news networks don’t know, the reason they were raided has not been made public. Connor is worried about whether or not someone is working on the inside. Connor’s instinct is to go to his biggest competition - an old personal assistant of his, Abigail Bruce, who has, since leaving Connor, made her own company called SMG. She denies having anything to do with it, even though she is obviously still very salty over what happened between her and Connor years ago.
Before leaving the office, Carl asks to speak with Dani privately. He spills his guts to her only after being reassured he has patient confidentiality with her. The FBI was after him, and he has only a few options. He can run, he can confess, or he can hope the whole thing blows over. He asks for Dani’s help after figuring out which option he’ll choose.
After getting back to her office, Troy attempts to get information from Dani about any V3 employees he or Connor should be worried about. Frustrated, Dani tells him again that what is discussed between she and her patients is totally confidential.
Meanwhile, Sheera tells Terrence about the upcoming charity event where they’ll show themselves off together on the red carpet, debuting themselves as the power couple “She-K.” The charity event is the same night Coach wants Terrence in bed by 10pm. Sheera reassures Terrence that he’ll be back in his hotel room by 9:59pm because they cannot miss this opportunity.
With nowhere else to go, Dani goes to Nico to get advice from him about the situation with the FBI. Without saying any names, Dani asks him what will happen if the person the FBI was looking for were to confess. Nico agrees to arrange a meeting with one of his old FBI coworkers.
Dani is forced to cut dinner with Sam short because Carl needs her help. Carl stole money from the company and he’s having second thoughts about confessing. Troy gets Paloma to steal a USB drive with Dani’s schedule. Troy reassures her that she’ll have something waiting for her when she’s done helping him. Troy is convinced Bruce is behind the FBI raid and that Dani is either working for her or knows who is.
Dani and Nico arrange a meeting with Carl and Nico’s old FBI coworker, but Carl doesn’t show up. Instead, he texts Dani that he’s decided to go with another option. Terrified he’s going to kill himself, Dani and Nico begin to search for him.
Bruce shows up at the charity event, and after handing Connor a check, Connor still presses her to admit she was behind the raid.
Carl was supposed to introduce Connor during the charity event, but instead informs Troy that he’s got the flu and he can’t come.
Dani, preoccupied by her patient’s whereabouts, decides to break things off with Sam because she can’t do a casual, superficial relationship. He tells her to find him in two years when he’s ready to settle down.
After Connor gave the introductory speech, Terrence and Sheera leave to make Terrence’s curfew. They make it just in time for the Coach to find them at the elevator.
Dani learns from Nico that Carl killed himself by jumping off a building. He’d been stealing from the charity foundation. The next day, Dani is still visibly shaken. She’d never lost a patient before. On Dani’s desk, Carl left a USB and a note saying “I’m sorry I couldn't live with myself.”
Totally lost and shaken, Dani finds herself with even more stress to deal with as her now dead patient leaves the evidence in her hands.
