New Jersey governor Chris Christie will be heading to primetime this fall when he makes an appearance on Michael J. Fox’s show as himself.

This will be his first attempt at scripted comedy; he has appeared on Saturday Night Live and many other late night television programs for interviews, TV Guide ntoes.

The Huffington Post reports the show, which premieres on Sept. 16, follows Fox’s Mike Henry who also suffers from Parkinson’s disease. As a result, he has to end his career as a news anchor. After spending five years at home with his family, the show will document his attempt at going back to work after his diagnosis.

Betsy Brandt will co-star as Henry’s wife and Kate Finneran will play his sister on The Michael J. Fox Show. Christie isn’t the only familiar face that will appear on screen this fall, Today Show anchor Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie also make an appearance.
