Police arrested 31 year old Lawrence Julius Taylor yesterday in Powder Springs, Georgia on charges of statutory rape, sodomy and child molestation.

Taylor is currently in jail without bond. His attorney’s name is not known at this time. He faces three felony charges.

The first two charges of statutory rape and sodomy charge are related to an unidentified female under the age of 18 who describes an alleged sexual assault that occurred Saturday afternoon at Taylor’s house.

The third charge is child molestation. A second girl under the age of 16 told police that she had sex with Taylor in February last year.

He could face 25 years to life if convicted of either sodomy or child molestation, TMZ.com reports.

Taylor’s father, former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor, faced similar charges in New York in 2010. He won the case last year.

''I feel for what she has gone through. 'At the time, I wasn't a bad person, and if I had known what was going on, I would have helped her. I hope the best for her,'' he told Fox Sports .
