Penelope Cruz gave birth to her second child with husband Javier Bardem on Monday, the same day the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal baby was born.
Cruz gave birth to a healthy baby girl in Madrid, giving 2-year-old Leo a little sister, Hola reports.
Little details have been released surrounding the new baby. The 39-year-old actress was even coy about confirming her pregnancy after months of rumors.
Her rep confirmed to People in February when she couldn’t attend the Goya Awards in Spain. “[Penelope is] tremendously happy and very excited,” her rep said at the time.
NY Daily News reports that the Oscar winner has been open about wanting to keep her life private for her kids, previously telling Vogue "I want my son and my kids - if I have more - to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible.”
Cruz was due in June and on Saturday she and husband Bardem, 44, were seen at the Los Veranos de la Villa Music Festival in Madrid.
