Well-known radio personality Kidd Kraddick, 53, died suddenly Saturday at a golf tournament in New Orleans that he was holding to raise money for his charity called Kidd’s Kids. The cause of his death is not yet known.

Kraddick is the host of “Kidd Kraddick In The Morning” show, which is based in Dallas, Texas but airs on stations across the country. The show now reaches more than 100 U.S. cities.

Kraddick made his radio debut in Miama, then worked in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and Tampa. He made his debut in the Dallas area specifically in 1984 when he started working for the radio station “The Eagle”, Dallas News reports. Kraddick then moved to “Kiss-FM” where his real fame began from the premiere of his own radio show.

According to CNN he has won the Marconi Award for Radio Personality of the Year and has been named America’s Best Radio Personality and Radio and Records Major Market Personality of the Year.

Many were shocked and saddened by his death, turning to social media, specifically twitter, to share their grief.

Dallas, TX lost a hero tonight and my heart is broken for the KISS FM family. You're already missed Kidd..,” tweeted actress Demi Lovato. “Also, praying for Kidd's family and friends.. Was a pleasure knowing you for so many years.. ‪#WeLoveYouKidd”
