Queen Elizabeth II joins the world in waiting impatiently for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby to arrive. She said she would like Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge to give birth soon because she’s going on vacation.

The British monarch said on Wednesday when answering a question at a public event on her preference of the gender, "I don't think I mind. I would very much like it to arrive. I'm going on holiday.”

According to Fox News, the Queen will be leaving soon for her yearly summer vacation to Scotland.

The Telegraph reports the Queen also said there’s “no sign yet” that the Duchess is going into labor.

Also this week, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall said during an impromptu speech, “We are all just waiting by the telephone. We are hopeful that by the end of the week he or she will be here."

Prince Charles, the baby’s grandfather, also told a well-wisher that the baby will “hopefully” arrive soon.
