While Randy Travis recovers from brain surgery, his brother, David Brownlow Traywick, has been hit with new methamphetamine charges after his arrest earlier this week for holding a manufacturing operation in his North Carolina home.

Traywick, 50, was arrested for possessing methamphetamine precursors, storing controlled substances and possessing drug paraphernalia after his Tuesday arrest of drug trafficking. His wife, Jessica, and two other women were also arrested in relation to the meth lab at the Marshville home.

According to Captain Ronnie Whitaker of the Union County Sheriff's Office, "It was more like a one-pot meth lab, like something some of these folks do in cars driving down the road. But it's still dangerous."

Reuters reports that police discovered the meth lab due to a tip that was called in. He and his wife Jessica are being held in jail on a $500,000 bond each.

Meanwhile, Traywick’s Grammy winning brother Travis is doing well after an operation to relieve pressure from his brain following a stroke.
