Regis Philbin is returning to the small screen for a sports-related talk show on Fox Sports 1 called Crowd Goes Wild. The network is new and will be competing against ESPN for viewers.

Philbin’s former Who Wants to be a Millionaire producer Michael Davies will oversee the show, calling it a "sports entertainment show” that will not only cover obvious topics like the NFL but also less buzzed about sports like tennis.

Los Angeles Times notes that Davies also joked that much like he did on LIVE with Regis and Kelly with Kelly Ripa, who now hosts the show LIVE with Kelly and Michael with Michael Strahan, Philbin will have a hard time with the social media aspect of the program.

“I'm happy to be part of sports TV," Philbin, 81, said, AceShowBiz reports. "If you look at the ratings, that's what's on top. Sports is the biggest hit TV has these days. It's all there on the field, pal."

Crowd Goes Wild will premiere on Aug. 16 and air every day at 5pm.
