Chris Brown has seen his fair share of drama and criticism over the past few years, and it seemed as though he had done enough to clear up his image at least a little bit.
But Rogers Communications doesn't seem to think so as they have pulled their sponsorship from a concert to be held in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on August 31 for an event called Energy Rush reports Hotnewhiphop.
This all stems from the famous incident in 2009 in which Chris Brown assaulted, then girlfriend, Rihanna. Many women's rights groups have been anti-Chris Brown since the incident, and once he was announced as the headliner at the event their was a huge uproar on social media to boycott the event.
Rogers has responded to the uproar by pulling there sponsorship. They said in a statement that they were unaware of who the headliner would be when they agreed to be the main sponsor for this event reports CBC News.
This is the second time something like this has happened to Brown in the past year. A concert he was scheduled to perform in last November in Guyana was cancelled due to Brown feeling uncomfortable with angry protestors.
Just when you thought people had moved on from the Chris Brown controversy of 2009 he is still feeling the effects. It is clear that has image may never recover from this incident.
