Two of Hollywood's leading men may be headed to a galaxy far, far away.
LatinoReview claims that Ryan Gosling, star of The Notebook, is up to play Luke Skywalker's son in the upcoming Star Wars installment. Also, that he has been a serious contender for the role. Meanwhile, Efron may be cast as Han Solo's son. The site speculates that Disney will reveal its cast at the D23 Expo in Anaheim August 9-11.
According to EOnline neither actor has signed on to the film. In addition to those two, The Great Gatsby star Leonardo DiCaprio has also been linked to the film. However, he has declined.
Though plenty of details remain unknown, the film is said by CelebrityGossip to take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi. The movie will be an original written by Oscar-winner Michael Arndt. His works include Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3, and Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
