Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively are one gorgeous, glamorous couple. But unlike most celebrity couples we rarely get in glimpse into their relationship. Finally, the sexy actor is opening up about what the future holds for he and his wife.
The 36-year-old tells Details magazine, "We both come from big families—my parents did four, Blake's did five. A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know? We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think."
When the time does come to start a family, don't expect a family portrait on the cover of any tabloids.
As E! News points out, Reynolds married his Green Lantern co-star in a super secret wedding before reports surfaced they were even engaged.
Happy, healthy children; that is what's important but if it were up to Reynolds, they'd have both sons and daughters. He tells the mag, "I'm terrified that I'm genetically predisposed to only having boys." He cites his experiences growing up with three older brothers as to why his is fearful. " By the time I was 10 years old, and I'm not exaggerating, I knew how to patch drywall. There's nothing my brothers and I didn't put a hole in…That's something I'm not looking forward to."
Reynolds, who stars next in R.I.P.D, still manages to keep us pretty curious about the details of life with Blake. "If you ask me to describe my relationship, I mean—words are too clumsy to accurately describe how I feel in that regard, particularly in an interview," he explains. "It's a strange thing. I understand the climate we live in and why people are curious. But it's just tough and almost emotionally violent—for anyone, I think—to see your personal life summarized in a sentence."
Even though he beats around the bush, we give Ryan credit for respectfully declining to share more.
