Since Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively shocked everyone by getting married in September of last year, they have remained quiet about their relationship and are rarely photographed together.
In the August issue of Details, however, Reynolds, 36, who was previously married to Scarlett Johansson, talks about Lively, 25, and their shared desire to have a lot of children together.
"I don't intentionally try to be evasive about that stuff. If you ask me to describe my relationship, I mean -- words are too clumsy to accurately describe how I feel in that regard, particularly in an interview,” he told the magazine about his wife.
"It's a strange thing. I understand the climate we live in and why people are curious. But it's just tough and almost emotionally violent -- for anyone, I think -- to see your personal life summarized in a sentence."
Us Weekly reports that their shared yearning for a big family is because of their own families.
"We'd love to have a big family. We both come from big families -- my parents did four, Blake's did five,” he said. “A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know? We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think."
Before the wedding, Lively told Allure magazine that she also wants a lot of kids. She said at the time “I've always wanted a big family. Oh, I'd love 30 [children] if I could."
