It seems Kerry Washington and NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha are something more than a budding relationship. The Scandal actress and NFL pro wed less than two weeks ago in an ultra-private wedding in Idaho.
Previous reports stated that the two were dating although neither of the couples rep would confirm their relationship status.
Now, E! News has confirmed that the pair took their short-known relationship status from dating to married on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho. Washington and Asomugha have been dating quietly since summer 2012.
Sports bloggers Terez Owens was the first to report the exciting news with a source saying, “We just received word that actress Kerry Washington has married NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha.”
Washington and her San Franscisco 49ers husband are dedicated activists and philanthropists. This will be the first marriage for the Scandal actress, who shot to stardom with her role in Academy Award nominated film Django Unchained, E! notes.
