Seth Meyers is engaged to girlfriend Alexi Ashe. The upcoming host of Late Night, 39, has officially proposed.
Meyers and Ashe met at a wedding a few years back and they’ve had a “solid” relationship ever since, a source said.
“He's very excited for the next phase of his life," a source close the couple told Us Weekly. "He's known that she's The One for awhile, but it was all about timing."
The Huffington Post reports Meyers talked about Ashe in an interview last year, saying he gets “choked up” when he talks about how happy they are.
“When my girlfriend and I talk about being happy, I'll get choked up, which I think is the greatest gift you can give a girlfriend,” he said.
He also joked of his now fiancé, “She's a human rights lawyer. She works for the Brooklyn district attorney fighting sex trafficking. It really takes away my ability to say I had a hard day at work."
Meyers will take over Late Night when Jimmy Fallon replaces Jay Leno on The Tonight Show next year.
