Simon Cowell has been critical of the acts he judges on shows like American Idol, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, but has anyone ever wondered what his voice sounds like?
It looks like we will be able to see for ourselves this fall when X Factor premieres. In a teaser clip of the show, the judging panel – Cowell, Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland – are listening to a man sing when Lovato suggests that he sounds like what Cowell would sound like if he sang.
Design and Trend reports Rowland helped out when she grabbed the microphone from the man auditioning and the music played in the background for Cowell to show off his vocal abilities.
Of course they didn’t show him actually singing in teaser – we will have to wait for the show to premiere for that. But after the incident, the judges were discussing his voice when Cowell said he wasn’t actually singing, he was “impersonating a singer.”
Lovato said, “I think it’s charming, but he wants to be modest about his incredible vocal,” and Rowland added, “I knew that voice was always there.”
Aceshowbiz reports that Lovato also told one singer who was reading Rihanna lyrics off of her iPhone “"I feel like you're kind of the reason I don't drink anymore.”
