Sullivan and Son is crazy, funny, and just a bit insulting. But it’s definitely has its moments. Remember the heart-warming feeling you got when Ok Cha and Susan connected on a deeper level? Well this episode is no different.

Pat Sajak guess stars as Hank’s hallucination. Hank is a little off at the beginning of this episode. His son, who married a Mexican woman that Hank did not approve of, invited him to his granddaughter’ Quinceañera. He hasn’t talked to his son in 15 years because he questioned the bride’s family immigration status. Hank sees the invitation as an insult, saying, “I won’t apologize until he apologizes.”

In the meantime, Owen and Ahmed are off with two well-educated, rich young women who wander into the bar. You might be wondering why two, gorgeous, rich women would be interested in an unemployed guy and a tow-truck driver. Well, thanks to Ahmed’s latest tow, he was paid in two suits. The women are impressed by the suits and think that they are two young toe surgeons, thanks to Owen.

Hank and Pat are off talking as everyone is watching on, their fear for Hank’s health and safety rising with each word Hank utters to the invisible Pat Sajak. After a while, they are so worried for his health that Steve has Melanie check him out. While his eyes are not dilated and he appears to be fine, she thinks he should go to the hospital. But refuses and moves to a different place in the bar.

Melanie tells Steve that he needs to try to convince Hank to go to the hospital. But Steve doesn’t understand why, saying “He won’t listen to me.” Pushing, Melanie says no, that Steve is the only guy Hank will listen to. Carol then wanders over to Hank to as Pat a question. Carol had “the best sexual experience” of her life with Pat in an airport.

Owen, Ahmed, and their two new lady friends have left the bar and gone to dinner at Hal’s, the most expensive place in Pittsburg. At Hal’s you can get swan for a low, low price of just over $100. Ahmed pulls Owen aside, wanting to come clean, but Owen refuses saying he has a plan.

Hank’s new found craziness, Jack finds comfort in the fact that if he goes crazy, Ok Cha will be there to take care of him. Ok Cha tells him no, that he would be going to a cheap old folks home where there are rails and a bed. But Jack doesn’t believe it.

Come dinner’s end at Hal’s, the bill scares Owen so much he pees a little. The two women go off to the bathroom, leaving Owen and Ahmed at the table. Seeing the price of the check, Ahmed shakes his head. Ahmed thinks they should have come clean because there is no way that they will be able to pay for it. Owen, however, says no again because he has a plan…to steal the girls’ credit cards and use them.

Steve approaches Hank but was unable to convince him to go to the hospital. Hank walks off into the bathroom and Steve follows him, pressing that he go to the hospital to get checked out. Steve finds Hank talking to Pat in the stall and how they need to set boundaries. Hank says he doesn’t want to go to the hospital and that Steve wouldn’t get it because he was too young. Eventually, Steve gets Hank to face his fear and they go to the hospital with Melanie.

Back at the restaurant, the two ladies comeback and, against Owen’s wishes, Ahmed finally spills the beans. The women are so upset that they start a fight, throwing wine in Owen’s face and attacking Owen and Ahmed. The restaurant staff throws the four of them out where more truth comes to light.
Hank comes back from the hospital with a clean bill of health, old age set aside. However, Hank can still see Pat and Hank doesn’t know why. Steve suggests it’s psychological, that Pat is Hank’s conscience trying to tell him something. They realize that it is Hank’s guilt over his son that is making him see Pat Sajak, and suddenly Pat’s gone.

After Owen and Ahmed find out that the ladies were lying just like them, they decide to go fake a stroke in a hotel lobby to get a free room, but Ahmed, who still feels guilty for not paying, says that he was going to go back inside the restaurant to work something out. Owen laughs it off, saying that he hates it when he does this, but the ladies admit that his honesty is hot and Owen rushes into the restaurant after them.

Hank returns from his granddaughter’s Quinceañera looking very disappointed. The awkwardness was off that charts, making Hank feel very uncomfortable. He said hi and chatted before putting a check on the gift table and leaving. A little while later, his son, daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter walk into the bar looking for him.

Hank left before they could thank him for coming. Hank apologizes and they
reconcile. Completing the heart-warming events for this episode. But wait! There’s more. Pat Sajak is back at the bar afterhours. Ok Cha is cleaning and Pat is upset he’s stuck back in Pittsburg. Figuring someone else needs his help, he asks her, but gets nothing out of her. Suddenly Carol walks in and he realizes who needs his help. Pat says, “Daddy’s back!”
