ABC Family’s hit teenage drama series Switched At Birth's plot thickens and becomes a universal show for any teen in America. Bay brings deaf culture to Maui, Kansas in an all-new episode of Switched At Birth called “As the Shadows Deepen.”

The new episode “As the Shadows Deepen” airs Monday, July 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In the episode, Bay plans a Deaf Day at Maui, Kansas, and Daphne runs into Chef Jeff. Business starts to slow down as Maui, Kansas starts so Bay takes initiative and coordinates a Deaf Day. Bay collaborates with Emmett to organize a special screening of Deafenstein.

Daphne is shocked at what she discovers when she runs into Chef Jeff, who is played by guest star Justin Bruening from Grey's Anatomy. With John's appearance in the episode he brings some business to Regina.

In the midst of drama and activities, Bay and Daphne are involved in Toby trying to help Nikki, who is played by guest star Cassi Thomson from Big Love, deal with a family tragedy from her past.
