A 16-year-old teen who was wearing a Batman costume and two unknown accomplices broke into an office at the Colorado State Fair.

The three suspects are accused of stealing a laptop, televisions, and a cash register.
Surveillance video recorded clear images of the Thursday robbery.

“To be honest, I laughed myself when I saw the Batman shirt[.] Then they managed to lock themselves in, so they actually had to break out of the offices[,]”Fair General Manager Chris Wiseman told The Pueblo Chieftain.

The teen in the Batman costume surrendered to Pueblo police after seeing his picture on local ABC affiliate KRDO.

“When (police) found out it was this case, we came over and collected the 16-year-old male, who admitted to being the same person as the one depicted as Batman in the local media. It was due to local media that he turned himself,” Undersherrif JR Hall told The Pueblo Chieftain.

The police did not release the teen’s name because he is a minor.

Authorities intend to pursue charges of burglary and criminal mischief, the Associated Press reports.

Police have not identified the remaining two suspects.
