A trailer and a premiere date for the fourth season of The Walking Dead was released at Comic-Con this week.
The four-minute trailer debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego. The Walking Dead producers were joined by cast members Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira and Norman Reedus. The season 4 trailer showed an evolved breed of zombies, an ambush on the prison-shelter, and a lot of bloody, disembodied zombies. The "walkers," what the zombies are called in the series, are shown to be stronger and smarter.
After much anticipation from fans, the network has set a date for the hit show to return on Oct. 13 at 9pm on AMC, reports TV.Com.
MSN reports that the clip also hints at the death of multiple characters after a deadly battle in the survivors' prison-shelter. The trailer ends with Reedus' character, Daryl, and a few others driving a car and catching a voice on the radio whispering, "Those who arrive survive."
The fourth season of the zombie apocalypse series will be split into two parts. Eight episodes will air in the fall and eight more episodes in February.
