On this week’s episode of Twisted, Danny threw a party, pranks were pulled and someone admitted to murder.

The episode began with a steamy make out between Danny and Lacey. Even though she just broke up with Archie, she seemed to be moving on pretty quickly. However, she doesn’t want her friends to know about the romance. And, even though Danny asked nicely, Lacey refuses to tell Jo.

Remember how I was Team Jo/Danny then Lacey/Danny- well, I’m Team No one/Danny. Lacey was insufferable this episode. I think Danny is a murderer and I still believe that Lacey treated him like trash.

Yeah, I get it- what would her friends think if they knew she was dating a murderer? But whatever, she was being a total diva. And I also get that they are passionate but- Lacey was just so awful this episode. She does agree to go on a secret date in the park with him.

Jo, innocently, is talking to Rico about her crush on Danny. Rico says don’t tell him but Jo decides that she’s going to tell him. She says that she’s going to take a risk.

At home, Danny is grilling his mother about his father and Regina. His mother, obviously, tells him to stop with the interrogation and that suggesting that Regina and his father had an affair was disgusting.

As Karen walks outside to get the mail, they see that the front yard was full of jump ropes. To be completely honest, I had no idea was in the front yard until the end of the episode when Jo said that they were jump ropes. I thought it was dead birds. The latter is probably creepier.

At school, turns out the picture of Danny’s creepy yard went viral and everyone was talking about it. Jo, being a good friend and not being a diva like Lacey, asked Danny if he was ok. He said he was cool but his feelings were obviously hurt.

Tyler, the guy who hit on Jo last episode, walked over and said that he was making a documentary about Danny and wanted to interview him. Also, he asked Jo out. This lead to a heartbreaking moment that I knew was coming. Danny said Jo was “like a sister to him.”

And Jo’s heart broke. The episode did set up a Rico/Jo match-up, which will be wonderful and funny. But what will we call them? RiJo? Jico? We’ll figure something out.

It wouldn’t be a review unless I commented on my favorite worse-cop-ever. Kyle’s Bad Cop Moment (BCM) score tonight was a 4. Kyle was talking to another cop about the necklace that they found. Apparently, he hadn’t done anything about it.

So, he has this “extremely important” evidence that he searched for, yet he is waiting on it? When the cop questioned it, Kyle simply stated that he couldn’t bring it up now because it was Karen’s first day of work. So instead, he said that he was going to meet her for coffee. No need for real police work when you’re trying to be her BFF, right?

When Kyle and Karen are getting coffee, he finally asks her where she was the night of the fall fest while sitting in the diner. And she gets angry and leaves. He tells her that she needs to fess up sooner rather than later. He says that he can help her. She says to call her lawyer.

On Lacey and Danny’s date, they are basically doing a romantic comedy montage when they hear branches move. When looking over, a bunch of dudes in Danny-masks come out of the woods.

Remember when I said Danny stares at things like a creep? Well, this was creepier. Danny throws a bottle at them and they run off. But who are the masked men. The soccer team was “at a game” and what other big group had something against Danny. (Everyone.)

At school, Jo asks out Tyler. Danny asks Tyler if he would set up a party. Tyler agreed if he would let Danny interview him. Rico said that Tyler was bad news. (Because he was jealous.)

Arriving at Danny’s house, Lacey tells Danny that maybe they should lay low and not see each other for a while. Danny asks if she is coming to his party and she says no.

Jo and Tyler’s date go wonderfully. They hit it off and it was interesting. But, in true Twisted fashion, Jo was going to be left brokenhearted.

When Tyler arrives to the party, he interviews Danny. And while giving him a lame interview, Tyler accidentally admits that he knows about two pranks- the jump ropes and masks.

When Karen went into the police office with her lawyer, she repeated over and over again that she was at home the night of the fall fest. Well, until Kyle mentioned that there was a witness to her throwing the necklace in the water. And Karen walked out with her lawyer.

Let me just say, for the record, Karen is my favorite character. Even though her son murdered her sister-in-law and (probably) maybe murdered someone else, she stood by him. She took insults from former friends and still fought on. She’s tough. And I have no idea why Danny isn’t nicer to her.

Lacey decides to go to the party after Phoebe tells her that Tyler has something big planned that Danny will never forget.

So they go to the party and there is an awful prank. Someone in a Danny mask comes in and strangles a doll- meant to be Tara. The crowd stares in horror. Jo looks over, however, to see that Tyler is laughing and filming.

Karen stops it as she turns on the light and tells everyone to leave. Then she leaves to go on a walk. And Lacey leaves. Jo tells off Tyler and he leaves.

Slightly tipsy Rico admits to Danny that he really likes Jo. And a spark begins.

Lacey and Jo are outside having a heart to heart on the swings. They’re talking about dating and how crazy it is. They get to the hard stuff and talk about the day that Danny murdered his aunt.

I have to apologize. In my review of the pilot, I mocked Lacey and Jo for freaking out about seeing their friend with a jump rope. Turns out, they actually saw the dead aunt. So, their nightmares and PTSD weren’t overreactions.

Then they go in and Jo and Rico leave. Lacey stays. She says that she wants to risk it all for Danny. Their scene ends with clothes being pealed off. Hopefully this isn’t going to be a lusty passionate relationship. I want them to date and be normal.

Meanwhile, Karen walks into the police station and tells Kyle that she murdered Regina. Well, quite the cliffhanger.

So, what do you think will happen next? And what will we call the Rico/Jo couple? Comment below!
