This week on Twisted, there was drama between mothers, Lacey, Jo and Danny went on a road trip and Rico confessed a secret.

This episode was my favorite of the season thus far. There was real character development, the policeman didn't act like a complete moron and we finally found out background information on everyone.

The episode began with Lacey, Danny and Jo walking in the hallway. They weren't speaking to each other but they all had that glean in their eyes like they knew more. Then, it showed the three in their old clubhouse talking about the money that Lacey found in Regina’s mail. They were running theories and there was a lot of side-shade going on. Jo and Lacey were both being condescending and immature. However, they do notice that the return address was from an apartment in Connecticut.

Lacey said that Regina had a boyfriend in Connecticut but she was never told a name or anything about him. (Jo rolled her eyes) Jo said that they should give the information to her dad. (Lacey scoffed.

Danny simply sat acting as an emotional referee in their girl fight. Lacey and Danny decide to go on a road trip to Connecticut to figure it out. Jo said that she couldn't get away and Lacey basically said she was happy about it.

After Danny went home, he looked for the necklace that he had hidden in his father’s chair. Last week, Karen threw the necklace into the lake to keep him safe. He was furious that the necklace was gone. She was furious/scared/confused that he had it. Danny explained himself.

Danny said that he found the necklace in his locker the day after the murder. He said that he wanted to find the killer and then plant it on him. His mother accepted his answer but he was still mad she doubted his innocence. I still think he is the murderer- “keeping the necklace for later” is a lame excuse.

At school, Jo found Rico. She said that he was avoiding her and had been acting weird since the night of the fall fest. Rico acted awkwardly and said it was nothing. He tried to hint at her not to trust Danny but Jo didn’t listen.

The highest part of the episode was when Danny left for the road trip with Lacey. His mother tried to stop him from leaving by asking him where he was going. Danny simply turned around and stated that he had an appointment to kill someone.

Jo snuck out and rode with them. Lacey wasn't pleased but it Danny tried to pull them together. He tried singing their old song. The girls simply hated each other. Danny pretended to that he heard a weird sound under the car to get Lacey to stop driving and get out. It ended being a trick to get the girls to apologize and make up. They only apologized only to humor him.

Meanwhile, Karen goes over to Jo’s house to find Jo’s parents arguing. They had just found out that Jo snuck out. Karen tells them that Jo probably went on a drive with Lacey and Danny. Kyle is furious and storms off to the office.

Karen and Jo’s mom, Tess, talk to each other and decide to hang out. Tess teaches Karen how to make a vase and they get high together. Tess says that she has a stash of pot that not even her husband knows about. Turns out Tess used to date Vikram, Danny’s father.

Karen learns that the relationship lasted longer than she thought- it seemed as if Vikram had cheated on her while they were still in high school. Karen leaves in anger because of Tess’s lie.

She comes back, however, and apologizes. She said that her marriage wasn't perfect and that she shouldn't be mad at Tess for the past. Tess tells Karen that she should get a job or a hobby.

I agree. Karen was talking, in the pilot, about how they didn't have enough money to leave- but at the same time doesn't have a job? Karen should get a job, get money and move away.

Kyle finds Rico at the school and tries to figure out where Jo is. Rico doesn’t know so Kyle leaves. Rico follows him back to the police station and they talk about police work and the necklace. Kyle talks to Rico seriously and Rico breaks down. Rico reluctantly tells Kyle that he saw Karen throw the necklace in the lake.

Kyle didn't do much police work in this episode; therefore he doesn’t have a bad cop score. Actually, he was actually a good cop in getting Rico to give him the information. Reminding Rico that he could hurt Jo or go to jail for not giving information, Kyle got his job done. Shocking.

When Lacey, Jo and Danny arrive to the apartment building, the security guard won’t let them in. So, they leave before he calls the cops. When they walk back to the car, he wonders why Jo and Lacey aren’t friends.

Turns out that in middle school, a girl named Amber held a party and everyone but Jo was invited. And the reason Jo wasn’t invited was because Lacey told Amber not to invite her. Also Jo was hung up on the fact that their close friend went to jail for killing someone.

Danny pulls Jo aside and said that he doesn’t regret “what he did” (murder his aunt) but he does regret breaking up their friendship. Not that I’m judging, but I’d put going to juvenile detention for a murder above breaking a friendship on my list of regrets.

Danny sneaks in and goes up to the apartment. He goes in and it is completely empty. Before he can look around, the security guard catches him and brings him down to his office. He tells Danny that the person who lived in the apartment was dead and that he was going to have to call the police.

During the entire situation, Danny was staring at a knife on the security guard’s desk. First of all, why did the security guard have a knife? Second of all, why does Danny always have to stare at things like a creep?

Actually, though, Danny was looking at his phone. He sent a message to Lacey saying that he was busted. The girls rushed in to help.

Jo, who is the smartest one of the three, got onto the security guard’s computer to figure out who lived in the apartment. As they looked, they gasped. The apartment belonged to Danny’s father. How did Danny’s dead father send Regina that money? How did he even know her?

Speaking of Regina, I seriously hope her “boyfriend in Connecticut” is not Danny’s father. That’s just weird and illegal. I love twists but- that’s just too twisted.

Jo and Lacey get Danny out of the jam by pretending that he has a crush on a woman in the apartment building. They took one of the names off the directory and Danny said he loved her. The woman ended up being a mother of four children- awkward.

On the drive back, Lacey and Jo don’t tell Danny that it was his father’s apartment since he worshiped him. They look at each other knowingly. Because, on Twisted, everyone has to have a dirty little secret.
