Chris Brown got some good news on Tuesday when two of his charges were dismissed in his hit-and-run case -- driving without a license and driving without proof of insurance.
Brown exchanged the wrong information with the other driver he was involved in a fender bender with on May 12 in the Toluca Lake area of California, this led to his probation being revoked.
ABC reports that his lawyer, Mark Gergos, entered a not guilty plea and presented that his client did have a valid driver’s license (he gave the driver a Virginia license in California) and valid insurance.
He was in probation in relation to the 2009 incident in which he beat his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He faces another court date on Aug. 15 and if a judge finds that he violated his probation he could face up to four years in jail.
LA Times reports L.A. County district attorney's officials say that the charges that were dropped this week won’t have any influence on his probation violation case.
