This week’s Wipeout is going to be newlywed themed. Twelve pairs of ex-couples will compete against each other in order to get to the Wipeout Zone.
Qualifier
This week’s qualifier starts with the Cradle of Tough Love, and then onto the Fail Boxes. After passing through the Big Balls, they go through the Trippidy Skippidy Flippidy I Do, before finishing by going through to their Honeymoon in Paris and onto the finish.
First up are Dustin Schmidt and Sally Kellogg. Dustin got knocked off the Cradle of Tough Love pretty quickly, while his wife, Sally, can’t even make it past the stairs onto the obstacle. Surprise pop-out obstacles knock them off the Fail Boxes, before Dustin takes a face smash onto the Big Balls. Sally does the same, and they both face a long swim back to the I Do. Dustin takes a beating on the platform before falling off.
The next newlywed couple is Josh and Nakia Brenner. Nakia fails to make it past the first part of the Big Balls, but she swims back in, and the take a leisurely stroll to the Paris obstacle. Nakia waits too long to go through, and is knocked off by a pop-out. Josh does better, only to get knocked off at the finish. They finish with a time of 6:39.0.
The next couple is Bret and Jessica Frasier. They both take a fall off the Fail Boxes, before Bret takes a bounce off the Big Balls.
Music loving couple Thomas and Kelsie Martin take a few falls on the qualifier, but it doesn’t stop them from wanting to sing a song about the experience.
Jeremiah and Michelle Waylon get introduced to the Wipeout course by a quick knock off from the Fail Boxes. They do predictably bad on the Big Balls, but Michelle takes a cool fall off the I Do. Jeremiah makes it through most of the Paris obstacle before getting knocked off at the end, while Michelle does similar. They finish with a time of 6:21.6.
Matthew and Angela Andrews get ready to take their shot at the qualifier. Angela takes a nice flip off the Cradle of Tough Love, before they both get knocked off the fail boxes.
Kyle and Vanessa Lewis Szabo both take flips off the I Do, before moving onto the Paris obstacle. They finish with a time of 6:04.1.

Semi-Finals
The semi-final course is the Summer of Love. They move across the Drum Circle to the second platform. Then, they move past the keyboards, and jump through the guitar and on the finish platform. Only one member of the team needs to finish for the couple to advance.
Dustin becomes the first to take a jump onto the obstacle course, but he doesn’t get very far. Thomas makes it to the second platform, while Matthew fails to make it past the drum circle. Thomas keeps going, as he tries to make it past the keyboards. His wife, Kelsie, almost makes it to the second platform, while Thomas falls off at the end of the keyboards.
Angela flips over one of the spinning arms on the Drum Circle, while Kelsie makes it to the second platform, only to slide off. Thomas still can’t make it past the keyboards, and neither can Dustin. Dustin tries again and becomes the first to make it across the keyboards.
Kelsie joins Thomas on the second platform, while Dustin tries to jump through the guitar but can’t make it. Matthew can’t make it to the second platform either, while Matthew finally makes it across the keyboards. Thomas can’t make it through the guitar though, but Dustin does, making him and Sally the first newlyweds to the Wipeout Zone.
Jeremiah takes his first shot, but can’t make it far. Kelsie can’t make it through the guitar either, as Thomas takes another shot, only to fall again. Matthew gets ready to take a shot through the guitar, but his lackluster try does not succeed. Kelsie almost makes it, but falls again. Thomas gets ready to take another shot, and he makes it to the finish.
Top 2
Thomas and Kelsie Martin and Dustin Schmidt and Sally Kellogg are the two couples moving onto the Wipeout Zone.
Wipeout Zone
Contestants start by being thrown off the Scare Chair. Then, they move onto Blockbuster, and then through the Space Pod of Doom. Finally, they move on through the Bounder Pounder and onto the finish. The couple with the best-combined time wins the $50,000 prize.
Thomas Martin is up first. After flipping off the Scare Chair, Thomas gets ready to go onto the Blockbuster. If contestants can’t make it through after their first try, they have the option to skip the obstacle in exchange for a time penalty. Thomas doesn’t immediately give up, though, and he tries again after a fall off the first time. He makes it a bit farther on his second try, but falls off and decides to accept the time penalty. He makes it through the Space Pod of Doom on his first try, and gets ready for the Bounder Pounder. He falls off the first set of trampolines, and has to try again. He makes it past the first trampoline, but slides off the platform only to fall off the second trampoline. He makes it on his next try and finishes with a time of 13:52.34.
Dustin Schmidt is up next. He falls off Blockbuster pretty quickly, but decides to take a second try. He fails to make it through again, and decides to take the time penalty. He also makes it through the Space Pod of Doom on his first try, and a good run on the Bounder Pounder could give him a serious advantage over Thomas. He falls off the first trampoline set on his first try, and has to try again. He does better on his second try and finishes with a time of 12:12.38.
Kelsie Martin is the next person to take her shot at the Wipeout Zone. She does pretty well on Blockbuster, almost making it to the finish, only to fall off. She makes it through on the second try, making her the first contestant tonight not to take the time penalty. She doesn’t do as well on the Space Pod of Doom, and has to try again. She makes it through on the second try, and moves on to the Bounder Pounder. She falls off the first set of trampolines, and takes a swim back to the start. She does well on the second try, giving her the fastest run of the night. She and Thomas finish with a combined time of 24:25.76.
Sally Kellogg is the last person up. She falls off her first try of the Blockbuster, and gets ready to try again. She makes it through to the last block, but slides off before making it to the platform. She takes the time penalty, and moves onto the Space Pod of Doom. She takes a flip into the water, and has to swim back. She barely makes it through on her second try, and if she has a perfect run on the Bounder Pounder, she can still win this. She makes it past the obstacle on her first try, giving her and Dustin a combined time of 23:44.85 and making them the winners of the $50,000 prize.
