Sylvester Stallone is in talks to join a Rambo TV series based on his other famous movie franchise.

Entertainment One will develop the series with Avi Lerner's Nu Image, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The two studios will work together on the series and then shop it around to networks in the U.S. and internationally.

Stallone is in talks to take a creative role on the show and may reprise the role of Rambo.

“Rambo fans cover all demographics and we’re confident that we’ll quickly find this series a home,” eOne TV CEO John Morayniss said in a statement, notes Deadline. Lerner added, “I’m excited by the prospect of collaborating again with my good friend Sly for an encore in this next phase of the Rambo legacy.”

The Rambo franchise kicked off in 1982 with First Blood, which was based on David Morrell's novel about a troubled Vietnam Veteran. It was followed by 1985’s Rambo: First Blood Part II, 1988’s Rambo III and 2008’s Rambo. Stallone directed the 2008 film, which Lerner produced. He had hoped to make a fifth film, but those plans are on hold.

Stallone is currently busy with Expendables 3, which hits theaters in August 2014. The Rocky star will next be seen in Escape Plan with Arnold Schwarzenegger on Oct. 18.
