We open on Infeld-Daniels-King partners watching a news report about a large meteorite crash though Denny Kresge’s business. Rachel tells the other partners that Kresge wants to sell the meteorite but can’t unless he beats his landlord to the claim. Jared and Peter want the case but Rachel says she wants Damien to handle it. Then, Stanton comes in and tells Rachel and the others that Damien can’t be considered to handle the case since he is been charged with Judge Dinsdale's murder.

Damien is in lockup until Stanton bails him out. Damien then tells Stanton that Dinsdale walked directly into his backswing and got hit in the head and can’t believe neither he nor the other member of Stanton, Damien and Dinsdale’s golf foursome, Josh, didn’t see anything. Then, Stanton tells Damien that Josh has told a judge that Damien threatened Dinsdale's life. Damien then tells Stanton that once he stood up to Dinsdale, he offered him his seat on the bench. The coroner’s report says Dinsdale died from blunt force trauma to the head. Damien says he hit a branch during the swing not Dinsdale.

Jared and Peter tell Damien that they want to help him. He thanks them but tells them that Stanton wants to “keep it in the family.” The guys still say if he needs him, they are there for him and that Carmen can help too, Damien thanks them again.

The guys bowl at Denny's bowling alley and invite him to bowl with them after his league breaks up. They have a ball and the guys tell him they can the meteorite back for him and though the landlord owns the window it went through, Denny's lease gives him control of the floor it landed on. He agrees to meet with them when Jared offers a lower commission percentage on the meteorite than others lawyers have offered him.

In court, Mr. Keyser, a golf pro, demonstrates how Damien’s unusual golf swing and Stanton shows how it could result in two blows to the head of a person standing behind Damien. So, the judge then says that there will be a murder trial. In response opposing counsel presents an affidavit from Stanton that Dinsdale had walked behind Damien at least five separate times during the round, meaning Damien should have known he might be there.

Rachel is pleased that the guys retained Denny. They tell her that Denny had the meteorite appraised for $1 million. She isn't happy about the percentage they gave up and tells them to work quickly.

Denny brings the meteorite to the guys’ party at the beach house. Then, he tells them about his life and it sounds pathetic. Then, a man named Dr. Stephan Hall shows up at the guys' place and confiscates the meteorite citing the Homeland Security Act.

Stanton and Rachel tell Damien that has been a backlash from some of the firm’s clients regarding Damien’s trial. They are afraid that judges’ rulings could be prejudiced against them because of Dinsdale so Rachel worked out a deal where Damien pleads to reckless endangerment, Damien takes anger management classes and does community service. Damien replies that he isn't interested in a deal and wants to clear his name.

The guys tell Denny that the government has the right to confiscate his meteorite to make sure it isn’t related to terrorism. Rachel isn’t happy that the guys “lost” the meteorite. The guys tell her it was taken from them by Dr. Hall, who runs a space research firm and they’re are keeping it for "further research." The guys then ask Rachel about Damien’s case and beg her to let them help. Rachel ignores them and asks them what their “plan B is for the rock?” When Denny tells the guys that he's part Native American and this gives Rachel an idea.

After speaking with the country club owner with Carmen, Damien learns that Josh could not have been in the cart with Stanton when he hit Dinsdale. So, he must have seen what happened.

At the bar, Rachel tells the guys and Denny that her plan is to go after the meteorite under a law that helps protect Native American artifacts. The guys don't love the idea, but Rachel is adamant. The waitress wants a picture with Denny aka “The Meteor Man” and all this attention Denny is getting persuades him to go along with Rachel’s strategy.

Denny and the guys visit the Minnekopa tribal chief in order to become a member of the tribe. The chief is concerned Denny will be exploiting the tribe in order to profit on the sale of the meteorite. The guys then argue that Denny is the victim of the government stealing his meteorite like they did to the Indians by stealing their land. The guys then offer a portion of the meteorite sale to the tribe and lower their commission once again. The tribe accepts the deal on the condition Denny remain on the reservation and complete tribe rituals.

The guys ask Stanton to let them help with Damien’s case. He declines and asks them if he can borrow the samurai sword he had given them so he can “re-center his Qigong.”

Carmen bumps into Dr. Hall pretending to be a fan of his work. Hall blows her off, but an employee, Mason Dominic, from one of Hall's competitors, GalaDyne, tells Carmen that Hall's contract with Homeland Security ends at the end of the month and his company, JXP, will go under without it.

The guys confront Josh at his country club, charging that he's not coming forward about Damien’s innocence because he wants the same judgeship. But it turns out Josh has taken a position with a private company and was actually nowhere near Dinsdale when he died. It was Stanton, who was in the perfect position to see what happened.

Damien yells at Stanton Infeld for not coming forward with what he saw. Stanton replies that Damien did nothing to help Dinsdale, almost as if he was waiting for him to die. Stanton then tells Damien that Rachel’s deal has been rescinded and he (Stanton) has been subpoenaed.

The guys tell Damien that they'll take over his case.

In court Denny testifies to what the meteorite means to his tribe. The chief believes the meteorite symbolizes a message from Denny's father to do something with his life. Opposing counsel points out that Denny only started connecting with his Native American heritage when he needed help getting the meteorite back. Then, Carmen arrives with information for the guys. Hall then testifies that the meteorite is important is determining when a future strike might occur. Jared then cross-examines Hall and mentions that perhaps Hall needs the valuable meteorite for when his company folds, but the judge tells the jury to disregard that question.

In court Damien motions for change of counsel because Stanton has been subpoenaed. Then, the guys walk through the door and immediately call Stanton to the stand. After Pete questions him about his relationship with Damien, the judge allows the change. After seeing how much Stanton seems to hate his nephew, the assistant DA agrees to drop the charges.

Under threat of having the Minnekopa tribe protest at his company, Hall signs a document agreeing to give Denny a small piece of the meteorite.

In trial the guys put Hall back on the stand and point out that he needs to have the entire meteorite for his research. The fact that he agreed to give up even a piece of the meteorite indicates that he isn't concerned with research.

The guys win Denny's case, but Rachel isn't happy to learn they're only getting 1 percent commission. Then, Denny shows up and says that he's donated the meteorite to the Minnekopa tribe.

Damien tells Stanton that he has "literally killed my only chance of becoming a judge." The two appear to still have a good relationship.
