Christina Aguilera and her ex-husband Jordan Bratman haven’t let a divorce keep them from amicably co-parenting their son, Max, 5. The threesome were seen on an outing in Venice Beach, Calif. on Sunday.
The Voice mentor showed off her slimmer frame while walking with her family. She and Bratman divorced in 2011 after being married for six years and she has since moved on with Matthew Rutler, who she’s been dating for over two years.
A source told Us Weekly of the Grammy winner that she "has been on a mission to lose weight.” Carson Daly, who works with her on the hit NBC show, even said "She's in crazy good shape!"
The singer has "adopted a new lifestyle” and regularly practices yoga and strength training.
According to Just Jared, Aguilera, 32, and Bratman, 36, brought Max to a birthday party on the beach that day.
Back in 2010 after their split, Aguilera told People of ending her marriage, “When you're unhappy in a marriage, your children are the ones who suffer. That's the last thing I wanted for my son."
“There were moments of disconnect. Jordan was always a supportive person, but ‘supportive’ can take on different meanings,” she explained. “He represented safety for me years ago. But our relationship changed. I've grown as a woman and he's grown as a person. We were both looking for different things. We just weren't right for each other. I couldn't face living another five years [together] and feeling that I wasted [that time] being unhappy.”
