After previously being denied, Amanda Bynes parents Lynn and Rick Bynes, have been granted a temporary conservatorship over the estate and personal well being of their daughter.

Amanda has been in the hospital for the past two weeks and the hold has been extended for an additional 30 days according to NYDailyNews.com.

While Amanda believes a conservatorship was unnecessary according to reports from TMZ, she was unable to be present in court this morning due to the hold placed on the actress from Hillmont Psychiatric Center.

Though the judge did grant the conservatorship to Lynn and Rick, they have been advised to consult Amanda’s lawyer, Mary Shea before making any significant changes to Amanda’s estate or savings fund, which was quickly diminishing at the hands of the What I Like About You actress.

RadarOnline.com reports that doctors have told the judge they are treating Amanda for schizophrenia. The temporary conservatorship will end the end of September, and then the judge will decide the next steps. TMZ sources have said the judge would like to have in person interaction with Amanda at the end of her treatment so he can evaluate her state of being himself.
