Amanda Seyfried does not agree with the United Kingdom’s recent porn ban, the actress said in an interview with Bang Showbiz.

British Prime Minister David Cameron announced a plan last month to ‘clean up the Internet’ by blocking X-rated content in an effort to protect children, according to Digital Spy.

Seyfried, who stars in Lovelace, a biopic about the controversial porn star, Linda Lovelace, said in the interview that she does not believe a porn ban would be effective.

“You can’t put a ban on it,” the 27-year-old stated. “I mean, kids under age are still drinking. It just makes it that much more powerful. It's freedom. You should be free to watch it whenever you want.”

Seyfried does not agree with children watching porn, admitting in an interview with GQ that the content “could get very dark.” The actress also shared an experience in which she encountered porn as a child.

“I've watched porn, yes. Enjoyed? No. I saw some when I was six. It was really disturbing. I was at my friend's house and their parents weren't around and the older brother, who, I think was 10 at the time, puts this on and I was just blown away."
