Police in Johnston, Rhode Island issued an Amber Alert as part of the search for two-year-old Isaiah Perez.

The search began at approximately 5:20 a.m. Eastern Standard Time when police found two bodies in a home in Johnstown, a small city near Providence. Perez lived with the unidentified murder victims who were found this morning, CNN reports.

“We don't believe the child was harmed, and we're just hoping that he will be safely returned," Deputy Police Chief Daniel Parrillo told local news source WPRI .

Police suspect that Malcolm Crowell took Isaiah with him after the double murder, CNN reports. Police in Fall River, Massachusetts arrested Crowell, but Isaiah was not with him.

Police in Providence arrested Daniel Rodriguez, the second suspect in the double murders. Isaiah was not with him, either.

Massachusetts State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said that Crowell was not involved in Isaiah’s disappearance, the AP reports .
