As Two and a Half Men goes into its eleventh season this fall, the CBS comedy has gained a new character in the form of the late Charlie Harper's long-lost daughter Jenny, to be played by Amber Tamblyn.
According to E! News, Tamblyn's character Jenny moves to Los Angeles in hopes of pursuing an acting career as well as reconnecting with what's left of her family since Charlie's passing.
"The character as we know her now as she only exists on the page, is a pretty remarkably strong and ballsy character," show creator Chuck Lorre told E! News, also revealing that Jenny will be bisexual.
"The idea that she loves women seems to be something that just felt right," Lorre went on to say.
Tamblyn, who has starred on shows like Joan of Arcadia and House, will guest star in at least five episodes with the chance of becoming a series regular.
And, fans, don't hold your breath for Jenny and Walden to potentially become a couple because Lorre has already ruled it out saying, "I think it's going to be uncomfortable at first, then maybe over time there might be some affection there. I think the affection goes beyond sexuality, he just truly likes this young woman."
The comedy also recently reduced Angus T. Jones' role to a recurring status for season eleven as the actor attends college. Jones was previously in the spotlight after making controversial comments regarding the show.
"It's really commendable that he wants to make that the next part of his life. He misstepped last year, and it's just not fair to judge him on that. I certainly hope he comes back from time to time. But for now he's embarking on a new life," Lorre said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Two and a Half Men returns to CBS for its eleventh season on September 26.
