Ben Stiller is looking into bringing back Reality Bites.
A rep for Stiller’s Red Hour Films confirms to TheWrap that they are in the process of producing a pilot surrounding the 1994 comedy, which starred Wynonna Rider and Ethan Hawk.
Stiller has Reality Bites writer Helen Childress on hand to pen the current project which is slated to air on NBC. Casting details are currently unavailable.
Stiller directed and starred the 1994 comedy. Universal Television is set to co-produce.
In addition to Reality Bites, Stiller is also working alongside Red Hour Films to create a project for Comedy Central entitled Big Time in Hollywood, FL, and a stand up series titled The Meltdown With Jonah And Kumail.
Currently the projects do not have release dates.
Stiller’s other upcoming projects include The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, While We’re Young and the recently announced Zoolander 2. Stiller is also slated to continue lending his voice to Alex the Lion in The Penguins of Madagascar.
