It's still a struggle for Bethenny Frankel to cope with her new reality after divorcing businessman Jason Hoppy and going through a custody battle over her daughter, Bryn.

People Magazine reports that after almost three years of marriage, Frankel and Hoppy decided to part ways in December 2012. At the time of the split, the couple released a statement expressing their hope to "amicably co-parent" their three-year-old daughter, but this didn't end up being the case. Unfortunately, the split dissolved into a custody battle.

Frankel also describes how she felt she disappointed her fans and the public, ABC News reports. In an interview with "Nightline," the star of the daytime talk show Bethenny said. "I'm going through a brutal, brutal time. It really, really is. I mean, there's no other way to slice it...I felt like I disappointed people, because I felt like I was this role model, that represented the fairy tale. I'm definitely bruised."

However, despite not being able to live up to an image she wished to, Frankel does not regret allowing cameras in on her relationship with Hoppy. Her marriage and its eventual dissolution were documented in the reality TV shows Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After.

"I don't regret letting the cameras roll at all," Frankel said. "I could have skated by. I could have stayed on the show and been like, 'Oh, everything's perfect with us. Everything's great.' It made me feel dirty for people to think that I had this perfect relationship and this perfect life."
