Beyonce shocked her fans when she debuted a new hairstyle on Twitter, cutting off her signature long hair and showing off a pixie cut.
While out in Miami with daughter Blue Ivy on Thursday, Aug. 15, however, she showed off a longer hairstyle.
The “Single Ladies” singer, 31, was spotted sporting a blonde bob, Us Weekly reports. Her hair was a light shade of blonde and brown on the bottom. She completed the casual look with denim shorts, a loose tank that read “Name Brand” and lacy white bra underneath.
Rita Hazan, Beyonce’e colorist, told Us about the haircut, "I was shocked. I think she was just feeling empowered, like a strong woman, and she said she's been feeling it for a long time. She didn't want to hide behind her hair in real life."
Just last month, Beyonce made headlines when her long extensions got stuck in a fan during a performance of her song “Halo” on a Mrs. Carter World Tour stop.
She jokingly rewrote the lyrics to the song to make it more fitting to the situation and posted it to Instagram. “Gravity can't begiiiiiiin/to pull me out of the fan again," she wrote. "I got snatched… goodnight all."
