Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance may have sparked outrage among viewers, which in turn resulted in an all out social media firestorm including the trending hastag #PrayforBillyRay, Billy Ray is breaking his silence about his daughter’s sexual performance saying, “She's still my little girl.”

Billy Ray spoke with Nancy O’Dell onEntertainment Tonight. following the 20-year-olds highly discussed performance saying, "Of course I'll always be here for Miley. Can't wait see her when she gets home…She's still my little girl and I'm still her Dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."

Although Miley doesn’t have to face her father, she will have to face the backlash from the Parents Television Council who said they were unimpressed with the MTV VMA’s. The PTA slammed both Cyrus’ sexually charged performance as well as Lady Gaga’s.

"MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?," they said in a statement.

However, Cyrus was pleased with her performance taking to Twitter to write, “Smilers! My VMA performance had 306.000 tweets per minute. That's more than the blackout or Superbowl! #fact.”
