The start of season 5 took the viewers into the future, showing Walt with a scraggly beard and stained clothes. Walt showed up at his home that was barricaded off by fences and with the name Heisenberg spray painted on the inside of the house. With the home ransacked and bare, Walt grabs the ricin from behind the outlet and precedes to his car.

As the show shifts back to the present, Hank is intensely going over the inscriptions in the book that he took from Walts house. With photos spread across a table in his garage, Hank is trying to put the pieces together.

Now for Jesse. Jesse and his two pales, Skinny Pete and Badger are hanging out at Jesses place. Jesses two buddies are discussing Star Trek while Jesse is distant and very distraught. Jesse try's to give his bags of money to Saul but Walt ends up giving the bags back to Jesse. In the end, Jesse ends up giving a stack of money to a homeless man and threw a bunch of money out of his car in a neighborhood.

Back to Walt and Hank. As Walt is throwing up in the bathroom, he realizes that his book is gone. This puts Walter uneasy and he ends up checking his car for a tracker. And he finds one. Uh and the cancer is back!

The moment everyone has been waiting for happened. That is Walt being confronted by Hank. The confrontation wasn't as straight forward as I had hoped though. Walt showed up at Hanks house on a leisurely visit. As the two talk, nothing is out of the ordinary. Walt starts to leave and stops. He pulls out the tracking device and asks if Hank knew about it. Hank closes the garage door and punches Walt. Walt acts like he knows nothing about it and lies to Hank. Walt says to Hank "I am a dying man that runs a car wash."
