The Emmy nominated and award winning show Breaking Bad returns this Sunday on AMC with the second half of its fifth and final season.
The show captured the nation’s attention with its mind blowing storyline, exceptional acting and consist ability to engage the audience in nearly every episode.
Breaking Bad, which is heavy on suspense, action and thriller, is the story of Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who turns to selling and producing methamphetamine after he is diagnosed with cancer. His unlikely partner is, Jesse Pinkman, a former student of his.
The duo goes on to make millions together as well as outsmart and outmaneuver the DEA and crime lords alike. They encounter numerous near death experiences and argue frequently like a married couple.
Despite the two arguing, they develop a unique personal relationship and being to care for each other, which complicates things as the two delve deeper into selling meth.
On top of his brother-in-law, who works with the DEA, edging close to discovering his involvement in the meth business, White has begin to enjoy the life and perks of being the special meth dealer that he is: he uses his knowledge of chemistry to produce the purest and best Meth around town, he enjoys the millions that he makes and the power that comes with his position.
Breaking Bad has made selling meth look more exciting than any other show, but the moral message show how producing and selling meth can destroy one’s own family, innocent people, as well as the seller alike, leaving the audience to wonder what will be the consequences of these two actions.
Will Walt lose his battle to cancer? Will Walt and Jesse get caught? Will either be killed by drug lords? We will have to wait and see.
However, if you have not watched the show, Netflix has all four season and the first half of the fifth season, so get to binge watching and catch up. And if you do watch the show, I know you are just as ready as I am for the shows return.
Breaking Bad returns to AMC Sunday August 11 at 10 pm.
