It was surprising when Simon Cowell’s seemingly whirlwind romance with Carmen Electra abruptly ended, but a new report is suggesting that she ended things with the X Factor creator after finding out he was with Lauren Silverman, who’s now pregnant with his baby.
Cowell and Electra were reportedly together for about six months when she caught him with Silverman at his home.
A source told E! News, "Carmen was at Simon's house in L.A. when she literally busted him with Lauren. Simon called her a friend, but there was nothing platonic about what was going on, if you know what I mean."
The source added that Electra quickly ended whatever was going on with the Brit, saying she "high-tailed it out of there," because “there was no way she was going to stick around and be a third wheel."
It was just a couple weeks ago that the public found out Cowell was having a baby with his friend’s wife. At the Television Critics Association Press Tour promoting X Factor, he kept quiet about the pregnancy.
“Sorry. Unfortunately, I have to keep this private for the moment. It's just one of those things, but thank you anyway,” he said at the time.
At the Do Something Awards, Electra talked about how happy she was for Cowell. "I'm going to call him as soon as I get in the car after the event," she said. "I want to know if it's a boy or a girl. It's awesome, I'm super happy for him."
