CBS is gearing up for the 27th season of Survivor, this time putting former Survivor favorites and their family members together in the aptly named Survivor: Blood vs. Water.

According to E! News, the new season will also feature a new twist. Rather than dropping the competitors at their destination mid-day as usual, this time they will be dropped off in the middle of the jungle at night. Meaning they will have to fend for themselves in complete darkness in the hopes of making shelter with no light to use.

The following morning, each tribe will vote someone to head to Redemption Island. The family member of the former player will make the decision whether or not to stay or take their place on the island. The castoffs will then compete to determine who will come back to the island with a clue about the hidden immunity idol.

CBS’ official press release reveals the following Survivor competitors returning with their loved ones:Tyson Apostol from Heroes vs. Villains will compete with girlfriend Rachel; Tina Wesson from Australian Outback, All-Stars along with daughter Katie, Kat Edorsson from One World with brother Hayden, the famously bearded Rupert Boneham from Pearl Islands, All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains will compete with wife Laura, Gervase Peterson from Borneo with niece Marissa, Colton Cumbie from One World with fiancé Caleb, Aras Baskauska from Panama–Exile Island will compete with brother Vytas.
