Chris Brown can breathe a little bit easier since his misdemeanor hit and run charges stemming from an incident in May have been dismissed.

Back in May, Brown had rear-ended a woman and was also charged initially with driving without a license and driving without proof of insurance, but those charges were dropped last month. That left a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge.

Brown had defended himself on Twitter, writing, “I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run. I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!”

Still, his probation was revoked because of the charges. He is still on five-years probation stemming from his assault of former girlfriend Rihanna. A hearing was set for today and Brown did attend.

CBC Los Angeles reports that Brown and the female driver reached a “civil compromise,” according to officials. The L.A. City Attorney still wanted to pursue the case because he said that Brown was aggressive when he yelled “b***ch” at the woman after the accident. But, as TMZ reports, the judge didn’t agree and dismissed the charges.

Brown later celebrated the legal victor on Twitter with a link to TMZ’s story and wrote “Thank GOD!”

Brown did have a seizure last week, which he blamed on mounting legal problems and “nonstop negativity.” He’s also said that he plans on quitting the music business.
