Chris Brown may have been cleared in a hit-and-run case, but the singer later faced some different news on Friday. An L.A. judge sentenced Brown to complete 1,000 more hours of community service.
TMZ reports that the district attorney believes Brown violated his probation stemming from the 2009 Rihanna assault case by faking completed community service hours. He would allegedly submit reports saying he did work toward his hours when he was really off somewhere else.
Brown's probation was provoked last month because of the aforementioned hit-and-run case, but it was later reinstated when he was cleared of the charges. With its reinstatement, though, came more community service hours for the singer.
To make sure that Brown completes his 1,000 hours, Mercury news reports that his work will all be done under the supervision of L.A. county officials. Among his community service options, Brown can do beach cleanup, Caltrans, graffiti removal or a probation alternative work program for hours.
Brown is due back in court in November for a progress check. If all goes well, his probation will end in August 2014.
