Chris Brown pulled a fast one on photogs yesterday, sneaking into jail to turn himself in following hit-and-run charges.

TMZ reports that Brown turned himself into the Van Nuys jail at 2p.m. Monday, one day ahead of schedule. Paparazzi were busy waiting for 50 Cent to exit the court room, and as they followed him out of the court, Brown slipped into the jail which is adjacent to the courthouse.

TMZ notes that Brown was booked and released, spending a total of 45 minutes in jail. The day was plotted out by his lawyer, Mark Geragos, to avoid as much media attention as possible.

Browns probation was revoked last month after the charges surfaced. Brown was previously on probation for the 2009 beating of ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The incident occurred back in May, but the rapper has stood firm in his innocence, even posting photos of the alleged hit-and-run on his Twitter.
Brown is still expected back in court sometime this month.
