The devastating and shocking death of Glee star Cory Monteith on July 13 of this year has left fans wondering what the fate of the hit show will be. After much speculation, FOX executives and producer Ryan Murphy have announced that the show will return in a press release. While the show is going to continue, production and the premiere of season 5 will be pushed back.

Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, is going to die on the show facing the same drug demons that he faced in real life.

In an interview with E! Online>, Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly revealed that Lea Michele, real life and onscreen girlfriend of the deceased Monteith, has been a driving force behind this decision to continue with production. He also referred to the actress as an, “extraordinary human being”.

Michele plays Rachel Berry on the show and According to an interview with Murphy from Wetpaint.com, Lea feels that returning to set and being around the “Glee Family” will help everyone in the cast and crew heal. It is sure to be an emotional season on and off set for the cast and crew of Glee this season.
