The rumors are starting to pile in about who could possibly be joining Dancing with the Stars this season. Apart of the rumored roster is Valerie Harper, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in January.
Harper revealed her diagnosis in March, saying doctors gave her three months to live. The 74-year-old former Mary Tyler Moore Show star has a rare condition called leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, which happens when cancer cells reach the membrane around the brain.
According to TMZ, Harper is partnered up with Tristan MacManus and they’ve already been in rehearsals for the past two days. Sources say she’s completely independent and doesn’t need any help, considering her health.
Perez Hilton reports that also possibly joining the cast for Season 17 is Jersey Shore’s Snooki, Glee’s Amber Riley and former Scientologist Leah Remini. Others who are rumored to have signed on are Christina Milian, Elizabeth Berkley and Keyshawn Johnson.
ABC will announce the cast on Good Morning America on Sept. 4.
