This season’s Dancing with the Stars may see the return of popular choreographer Maks Chmerkovskiy. Rumors are abuzz that the sultry dancer is may make his return in season 17.
ABC President of Entertainment Paul Lee was pressed about Chmerkovskiy’s absence last season, and if he would return to the stage come this season, USA Today reports. Lee responded, “Maks is part of the family. He may well be back."
“We love having him a part of it," he added.
Although Chmerkovskiy’s return remains uncertain, Dancing with the Stars fans can celebrate the return of fan favorite Derek Hough. Hough confirmed that he will be a part of Season 17. When Access Hollywood asked the blonde dancer if he would return to the stage her simply replied, “Yes.” Hough then explained, "And the format's changing. We've got one show a week now, but I think it'll make a better show, more jam packed. And so I'm excited about it."
Dancing with the Stars returns September 16 on ABC.
