David Cassidy was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol early Wednesday morning.
TMZ reports that Cassidy was pulled over at a DWI check point in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after driving with his high beams on. When the officer, ironically named Officer Tom Jones, approached The Partridge Family actor, he reportedly reeked of alcohol.
Times Union reports when Officer Jones introduced himself, Cassidy replied, “What’s up, pussy cat?”
Cassidy failed a field sobriety test and blew a .10. He was arrested and taken to jail and later released after posting $2,500 bail.
TMZ notes that Cassidy faces felony drunk driving charges following previous DUI charges in Florida.
Times Union notes that at the time of her previous arrest, his license was suspended for six months and he was ordered to attend a school for drunk drivers. He was also ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
Cassidy is expected back in court on September 4.
