Twenty-one-year-old singer and actress Demi Lovato will guest star in season five of the hit television show Glee. According to TVLine, the X Factor star will play the role of Dani, an aspiring artist in New York who befriends Rachel (Lea Michelle) and Santana (Naya Rivera). She will also do guest numbers with former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert.
Her appearance on the show will not be her acting debut. Lovato's acting background includes a lead role in Disney series Sonny with a Chance, Disney movie Camp Rock and appearances in Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break.
According to E! News, Lovato is expected to first appear in an episode on October 3 and is scheduled for a minimum of six episodes following that.
Lovato's casting has not been confirmed by her representatives, who even went as far as to say that they had no news to share. However, a tweet to Lovato from Adam Lambert expressed his excitement to be working with her on the show, which is expected to air September 26.
