Dick Van Dyke was pulled to safety from his burning Jaguar Monday.
The iconic actor was traveling down the 101 freeway when his sports car burst into flames, TMZ reports. Jason Pennington was passing buy when he saw the vehicle engulfed in flames and noticed an elderly man hunched over the wheel.
Pennington approached the vehicle and opened the door to help the 87-year-old Dick Van Dyke actor to safety.
Dick’s wife, Arlene, posted a video of the melted car on Twitter along with the caption, “Van Dyke's melted car @iammrvandy He's fine thank God!!”

The Mary Poppins actor even made light of the scary event, taking to Twitter to offer the vehicle for sale.
“Used Jag for sale REAL CHEAP,” he tweeted.
According to TMZ, Dick Van Dyke did not seek medical attention following the incident. The actor was noted as shaken up and his wife came to get him. New York Daily News reports that the Dyke discussed the wreckage with TMZ saying, "It just started making a noise. I thought I had a flat at first, then it started smoking, then it burned to a crisp…It was scary."
